Eve & Lilith

Eve & Lilith

I am so excited to share our latest lookbook with you! I was inspired by the story of Eve and Lilith - the first wives of Adam. While most of us know Eve's story, Lilith was actually created before her and was Adam's first wife. Made from the same dirt as Adam, she saw herself as his equal and refused to be submissive to him. Because of this she was cast out of the Garden of Eden.
Both were rebellious in their own way and have been vilified because of it. The imagery associated with each of them is dark and strong. Lilith is often called the Night Creature, and is represented by screech owls and other dark creatures, while Eve is of course strongly associated with the serpent and the tree of knowledge.

I used these as inspiration for my latest fabric prints and designs. You'll find moons, faux snakeskin, leopard prints and the Night Creatures fabric that I drew myself. Some of my favorite images are below, but make sure to follow this link to the Eve & Lilith lookbook!
