Ecohabitude - the socially conscious markeplace

by Anna Marie Cooper October 06, 2014

Ecohabitude might just become one of my new favorite places to shop. They are a brand new marketplace that makes it super easy to find ethically produced goods. Specifically, they seem to be focusing on makers who take the granola out of buying ethically, and show how cool it can really be. When they approached me a couple of weeks ago about setting up a shop on their website it only took a couple of minutes of looking around to make my decision. Now Rogue:Minx is happily taking up residence with other rad designers, builders, and makers.

One of my favorite things about the site is that you can set up eco-tags that apply to your products. There were three that applied to Rogue:Minx - Sweatshop Free, Cruelty Free, and Made in USA, but as you can see below, there are a million more to choose from. Non-toxic, biodegradable, organic - pretty much any thing you could want is on there. Each item has a prominent display of the eco-tags that have been assigned to them, and you can click on the eco-tags that are important to you to filter your search results.

The set-up was crazy easy thank to the lovely people that work there, and the shop is easily personalized with photos, backgrounds, video, and a bio. I'm so happy to be a part of a marketplace that encourages business transparency, and makes it easy to discover a broad range of socially responsible businesses. I hope that their marketplace continues to grow. It is a fantastic answer to some of the giant venues that are already out there, who seem to value money so much more than anything else. Go check out their site now, and see what treasures you can find.
