I love it when people use technology to make something beautiful. Such is the case with Eric Standley
, an Associate Professor of Studio Art for the School of Visual Arts at Virginia Tech who uses "folk math" and laser cutters to construct incredibly precise stained glass windows. Methodically plotted out weeks in advance the small sculptures are made from layered stacks of paper that can be more than a hundred deep. I love the side views where you can see all the layers of paper that went into making these. Make sure to check out his website
. There is so much more to love.
